A survey by the Rating Sociological Group conducted from August 21 to 23, 2025, showed that if presidential elections were held in the near future, the highest support would go to Volodymyr Zelenskyy (35%) and Valerii Zaluzhnyi (25%).
In the parliamentary ratings, the hypothetical Zaluzhnyi Party leads with 24%, followed by the hypothetical Zelenskyy Bloc at 20%. European Solidarity would receive 7%, while the hypothetical Budanov Party and Azov Party would each get 6%.
The survey also revealed that Ukrainians want peace and are willing to seek compromises, but only if reliable security guarantees are provided by international partners.
59% of respondents support ending hostilities and seeking a compromise, 20% advocate continuing the war until the full return of Donbas and Crimea, and 13% support continuing until the February 23, 2022, line of contact.
82% believe that negotiating is a realistic way to end the war. Among them, 62% support a compromise involving other countries, and 20% favor direct negotiations with Russia. At the same time, 75% emphasize that agreeing to a ceasefire is acceptable only with international security guarantees.
Key guarantees Ukrainians consider essential include funding the army and supplying weapons from partners (52%), allies entering the war in case of a new attack (48%), and international patrolling of air and sea space (44%).
When asked what is most important right now, 58% said securing guarantees from partners for funding the Armed Forces and adequate weapons supplies, while only 31% considered the return of all territories as the top priority.
Respondents most often stated that Ukraine is fighting Russia for the future of its children (60%) and for freedom (44%).
Trust in Ukrainian leaders remains high. Valerii Zaluzhnyi is trusted by 74% of citizens, Volodymyr Zelenskyy by 68%, and Kyrylo Budanov by 59%.
