Ukraine will deliver a tough and proportionate response to Russian attacks on civilian infrastructure. Long-range weapons will systematically strike military targets on Russian territory.
This was stated by Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Budanov.
“Russian airspace is no longer safe. This is a new reality that we are officially warning international airlines, insurers and partners about,” Budanov said.
He noted that Ukraine respects the diplomatic efforts of its partners and is ready for “targeted pauses,” but only if there are real steps toward ending the war.
“As long as the aggression continues, Ukrainian drones and missiles will operate freely in Russian airspace,” Budanov stressed.
According to him, the Kremlin deliberately chose the path of escalation, turning September 1 into yet another day of attacks against Ukrainian children and civilian infrastructure.
