“We have one and common threat: it is Russia. And it is very important to maintain mutual understanding, support and act together”, the president noted.

Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine and Poland need only strong relations. Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue the dialogue.

As a reminder, earlier President of Poland Karol Nawrocki said that dialogue between Ukraine and Poland is natural, since both states have a common enemy — the Russian Federation. According to him, the conversation with Zelenskyy at the NATO summit had a “courtesy” character, despite existing bilateral tensions.

At the same time, Nawrocki stressed that his position on historical issues between Ukraine and Poland remains unchanged, in particular regarding the attitude toward the UPA. Despite this, the Polish president emphasized that Warsaw and Kyiv should maintain contact because of their common opposition to Russia.
