        Russia Hits Residential Building in Kharkiv With Missile: Two Killed, More Than Ten Injured (UPDATED)

        Russian forces attacked Kharkiv again on the morning of July 8. A missile hit a five-storey residential building in the city’s Nemyshlianskyi district, Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head Oleh Syniehubov and Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported.

        According to preliminary information, one person was killed in the strike. More than ten people were also reported injured across all sites of the morning attacks. Their number is increasing, Terekhov said.

        Syniehubov said three strikes were preliminarily recorded in the Nemyshlianskyi district. As of 9:34 a.m., nine people were known to have been injured and were receiving medical assistance.

        In addition, Russian forces attacked Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv with a strike drone in the morning. According to city and regional authorities, the drone hit the territory of a gas station, causing a fire.

        Preliminary reports indicate there were no casualties in the gas station strike.

        Emergency services are working at the attack sites. The consequences of the strikes, the number of injured and their condition are being clarified.

        UPDATED AT 10:10: The death toll from the missile strike on Kharkiv’s Nemyshlianskyi district has risen to two. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov and Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head Oleh Syniehubov reported the updated figures.

        According to the latest information, 20 people have been injured.

        Syniehubov said authorities had received information about another person killed in the Russian strike.

        Emergency services continue working at the scene of the attack.
