        Two dead and four children among the injured: new details on the aftermath of the strike on Kharkiv

        The number of people injured in a Russian missile strike on Kharkiv’s Nemyshlianskyi district has risen to 23. Two people were killed, and four children were among those injured, Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head Oleh Syniehubov reported.

        According to him, Russian forces attacked a five-storey residential building in Kharkiv on the morning of July 8.

        Two people, approximately 60 years old, were killed in the strike. Their identities are being clarified.

        Sixteen people sustained injuries, including four children — boys aged 17, 16 and 3, as well as a 12-year-old girl. Seven more people suffered an acute stress reaction and received medical assistance at the scene.

        Five people are in hospital. One man is in serious condition and is undergoing surgery.

        The fifth floor of the five-storey building was partially destroyed. Two cars nearby were also damaged.

        At another location, a household building caught fire after a strike over an area of 40 square meters. The fire has already been localized.

        A video from the strike site has also been circulated on social media. According to preliminary reports, a civilian car was passing by the building at the moment of the attack, and fragments hit the vehicle. The car continued for about 100 meters before stopping. The driver was killed.

        Emergency and specialized services are working at the scene. Rescuers are checking whether anyone else needs help and are clearing the consequences of the attack.
