Ukraine has been waiting for nearly a month for U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s signature on the supply of missiles for Patriot and NASAMS air defence systems. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed Ukrainian officials to raise the issue with the U.S. side again.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this.

According to the president, Ukraine’s defence minister, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and the foreign minister reported on the situation with supplies of air-defence interceptors, primarily for Patriot systems.

Ukraine is working along several tracks — with the United States, European countries and other partners that have stocks of PAC-2 and PAC-3 missiles.

“In particular, for almost a month we have been waiting for Mr Hegseth’s signature regarding missiles for Patriots and NASAMS. I instructed our team to raise this again with the American side,” Zelenskyy said.

According to him, talks on missile supplies are also continuing with other countries.

Participants in the coordination meeting also discussed preparations for the next Ramstein-format meeting scheduled for November.

Zelenskyy stressed the need to accelerate the implementation of decisions on military support for Ukraine that have been on the table for some time.

“Every support package is an opportunity to protect people’s lives,” the president said.

Restoring the energy sector after Russian strikes

The meeting also covered the restoration of Ukraine’s energy system following Russian strikes.

Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi reported on the situation in the regions. According to Zelenskyy, repair crews and energy companies are working virtually without interruption, while previously established equipment reserves are being used for restoration work.

The president said he expects the Foreign Ministry, the Energy Ministry and other agencies involved to ensure the timely replenishment of these reserves.
