Ukraine needs more air defense systems and interceptor drones for protection. The reason is that Russia may increase the number of attacks to a thousand per day by the end of the year.
This was stated by NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov in an interview with CNN.
After the meeting between Russian dictator Putin and US President Donald Trump in Alaska, the shelling of Ukraine intensified significantly. According to Umerov, the Russian military began to launch combined strikes on Ukraine more frequently, using cruise and ballistic missiles simultaneously with strike drones.
Umerov stressed the need to increase arms supplies from partners. He also thanked partners from the US and the EU for financing Ukraine’s defense.
“We urgently need additional air defense systems and funding for interceptor drones. Russia is trying to increase the intensity of its attacks to up to a thousand per day. By the end of the year, they may expand these strikes, which indicates that Moscow has no intention of ending the war,” Umerov stressed.
