The Ukrainian national team ended its participation in the Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo without winning a single medal.

On Saturday, 21 February, Ukrainian freestylers failed to compete for a medal in the mixed team ski acrobatics competition at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy.

In the final, Ukraine was represented by Angelina Brykina, Oleksandr Okipnyuk and Dmytro Kotovskyi, who each had one jump.

Brykina managed to land her jump and received 90.58 points, but Okipnyuk and Kotovskyi landed unsuccessfully in their attempts.

As a result, the Ukrainian team scored 254.67 points and took sixth place, while to reach the super final, they needed to be among the top four teams. The United States, China, Australia and Switzerland made it to the medal tournament.

This was the last medal hope for the Ukrainian Olympic team at the 2026 Games in Italy. The Ukrainians also performed poorly in individual ski acrobatics.

It was in freestyle that Ukraine won two medals at the last two Winter Olympics — gold and silver were won by Oleksandr Abramenko in ski acrobatics.

In the entire history of participation in the Winter Olympics, Ukrainians have returned home empty-handed only three times — in 2002 (Salt Lake City), 2010 (Vancouver) and now in 2026.
