Ukrainian company Fire Point showcased a range of strike drones and missile systems at the Eurosatory international defense exhibition in Paris, presenting full-scale models of its products, according to radar.rp.pl.
Among the new developments was the upgraded FP-2 long-range strike drone. Following modernization, it received a new wing with an integrated fuel tank, which, according to the company, increased its range to 370 km with a 200-kg warhead or up to 700 km with a 105-kg warhead.
The company also announced an upgrade of the FP-1 drone, whose range has reportedly increased from approximately 1,650 km to 2,700 km. Both systems have been equipped with artificial intelligence algorithms to assist flight control.
The exhibition also featured the FP-5 Flamingo missile, designed by Milanion Group Ltd. and manufactured by Fire Point. According to the company, it is about 13 meters long, has a wingspan of 7 meters, weighs up to 6 tonnes, and carries a 1,150-kg warhead. Its stated range is up to 3,000 km.
In addition, mock-ups of two ballistic missiles were displayed. The FP-7 is derived from a surface-to-air missile and, according to the manufacturer, can deliver a 150-kg warhead to a distance of up to 200 km. The larger FP-9 has a claimed range of 855 km and can carry a warhead weighing up to 800 kg.
During the exhibition, Fire Point signed a memorandum of cooperation to integrate air-defense radars produced by German company Hensoldt with its FP-7.X missiles.
The company stated that FP-1, FP-2, and FP-5 systems are already being used in combat conditions. At the same time, the publication notes that the scale of production remains a subject of debate. Last year, Fire Point announced plans to manufacture 210 FP-5 missiles per month, but according to the reported figures, total production has not yet reached 200 units.
The report also mentions possible technical challenges, including claims that the actual range of some systems may be lower than officially stated specifications.
