Ukraine to receive air defense missiles from Estonia

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has announced cooperation with the Estonian company Frankenburg Technologies, which will provide new air defense missiles for testing in Ukraine. Their production may be localized in Ukraine in the future.

The Ministry of Defense wrote about this in a press release on November 8.

According to the November 8 press release, the first samples of the missiles will be delivered in the coming months. These missiles are designed specifically to combat drones and have the ability to shoot down targets at altitudes of up to 2 km.

“We are committed to helping Ukraine win this war. Our offer is a new, affordable missile that effectively destroys air targets, especially unmanned aerial vehicles,” said Kusti Salm, CEO of Frankenburg Technologies and former Permanent Secretary of the Estonian Ministry of Defense.

Kusti Salm met with the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Brigadier General Anatoliy Klochko. The parties discussed the prospects of testing and the next steps, including the approval of funding for the organization of production.

If the tests are successful and the terms of cooperation between the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and Frankenburg Technologies are agreed upon, production of these missiles may begin in Ukraine.
