Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that he expects an invitation to join NATO within internationally recognized borders.
The head of state told about this at a meeting with journalists.
“The invitation is given to the country in internationally recognized borders. And this is a fundamental thing for me: to receive an invitation during the war. I believe that this is a strong part of the package that we offer,” he explained.
The thesis of joining NATO in exchange for territories, Zelensky says, appears in the media not by chance.
“I believe that these throw-ins in the media are not accidental. Apparently, some partners may have such thoughts. Therefore, they do not directly communicate with me these issues, but through the media, of course, check their degree,” – said Zelensky.
