The first clashes have already taken place between the Ukrainian Armed Forces and North Korean soldiers in Kursk Region.
This was reported by Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov in a commentary to the South Korean TV channel KBS.
According to the minister, North Korean soldiers were “disguised as Buryats” and mixed with the Russian military, so for an accurate count of casualties and captives it is necessary to carefully check the identities.
Umerov noted that these clashes are limited for now, but expects that fighting involving the Koreans could increase in the coming weeks.
The minister also said the Russians plan to distribute five units of 3,000 men each along the front line, which is 1,500 kilometers. This would bring the total number of North Korean military personnel that could be involved in the war to 15,000.
