Ukraine has conducted the largest tests of ground unmanned vehicles to date as part of the BRAVE1 project. More than 70 robotic platforms from 50 Ukrainian manufacturers took part in the event.

This is reported by the defense tech cluster Brave1.

The robots covered a 10-kilometer distance and tested their load capacity and compliance with technical specifications.

The tested unmanned vehicles are designed for reconnaissance, demining, targeted strikes and logistics support.

Some ground robots are already in use in many combat units: The 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, 5th Separate Assault Brigade, 59th Separate Assault Brigade (including the 108th Separate Mechanized Battalion “Da Vinci Wolves”), 92nd Separate Assault Brigade, units of the National Guard of Ukraine (Charter and others), the GUR, SSU’s Central Security Center “A”, and many others.

The next steps are to develop tactics for using robots for logistics and evacuation of the wounded, as well as to formulate a concept of combat robots with an optimal combination of combat capabilities and mobility.
