On the night of October 29, Ukraine’s Defense Forces carried out a series of precision strikes on strategic facilities of Russia’s military-industrial complex that supply the aggressor’s army with fuel and gas. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the successful operations.

According to official data, Ukrainian forces hit two oil refineries and one gas processing plant. All three facilities suffered massive explosions and fires.

In the Novospassky district of Russia’s Ulyanovsk region, the Novospassk Oil Refinery, part of the Prominvest holding, was struck. The refinery processes around 600,000 tons of oil annually (about 0.2% of Russia’s total refining capacity) and supplies fuel to the domestic market as well as for export.

Another target was the Mari Refinery in the settlement of Tabashino, in the Republic of Mari El. The plant has a processing capacity of 1.3 million tons of oil per year (around 0.5% of Russia’s total) and supplies the Volga Federal District. Fires were reported on the site following the strike.

In addition, Ukrainian attack drones hit the Budyonnovsk Gas Processing Plant in Russia’s Stavropol region, with confirmed impacts on the GPP-1 production unit. The plant’s design capacity is 2.2 billion cubic meters of gas per year, supplying multiple regional enterprises and serving as a key source of raw materials for the petrochemical industry.

The General Staff emphasized that disabling these facilities significantly reduces Russia’s ability to sustain its military operations. The extent of the damage is being assessed, while Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue operations aimed at ending Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine.
