Syrskyі has denied Putin’s statement about the encirclement of Ukrainian troops in Kursk Region

The statement released by the head of the aggressor country at the BRICS summit about the encirclement of Ukrainian troops in Kursk Region does not correspond to reality.

This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the AFU Alexander Syrskyі.

“This is blatant disinformation, which does not reflect the real situation. Ukrainian troops continue active operations in the Kursk direction, destroying the enemy’s combat potential for the third month in a row. Despite the enormous pressure of the enemy in this direction, the occupants suffer tangible losses in personnel and military equipment,” – said the Commander-in-Chief.

According to Syrskyі, starting from August 8 to the present day, the Russian troops in the Kursk direction have lost 17819 men in personnel. Of them:

  • irrecoverable – 6662 people;
  • sanitary – 10446 people;
  • prisoners – 711 people.

Enemy losses, during the same period, in arms and military equipment:

  • 45 tanks;
  • 256 armored fighting vehicles;
  • 565 units of automotive equipment;
  • 99 artillery systems;
  • 5 multiple rocket launchers.
