Shakhtar lost the first leg of the Conference League semi-final. The Ukrainian side were beaten 1–3 by England’s Crystal Palace.

Shakhtar equalised in the 48th minute when Kauan Elias headed the ball across goal from a corner and Oleh Ocheretko finished into Dean Henderson’s net. However, in the 58th minute Daichi Kamada restored Crystal Palace’s lead.
Late in the match, Jørgen Strand Larsen made it 3–1.
The second leg between the teams will take place on May 7 at 22:00 Kyiv time.
