During a massive night attack on the capital, a rocket fragment hit the roof of the consular section of the Polish Embassy in Kyiv; the damage was minor, and the diplomatic mission continued to operate. Several cars were damaged in the parking lot of the EU Delegation, but all employees are safe.
Polish Foreign Ministry spokesman Paweł Wroński confirmed the damage to the roof of the consular section, noting that the embassy continues to operate as usual. This is the second such incident in a year: in early July, the consular building was also damaged, after which the roof was repaired.
The head of the EU Delegation in Kyiv, Katarina Maternova, reported that the blast wave damaged cars in the mission’s car park; the team was not injured and continues to work.
