Russians once again shoot Ukrainian prisoners of war in Donetsk region

Russian occupants have once again shot captured Ukrainian defenders in the Pokrovsk sector.

This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.

According to preliminary information, in November 2024, the Russian military stormed the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces near the village of Petrivka, Pokrovsk district. During the offensive, five Ukrainian defenders retreated to a private house, where they were subsequently surrounded by the occupiers.

After being captured, the prisoners were forced to come out of hiding without weapons and lie on the ground. After that, Russian terrorists shot the Ukrainian prisoners with automatic weapons.

“Investigative actions are currently underway to establish all the circumstances of the crime and the persons involved in its commission. The killing of prisoners of war is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions and is classified as a serious international crime,” the prosecutor’s office said.
