On October 24, drones attacked Russia’s Omsk region and reached its northern industrial hub. Russian authorities confirmed an attack on the industrial area, where emergency services are working, although no information about damage to facilities has yet been released.

Omsk region Governor Vitaly Khotsenko reported the attack.

According to him, Russian air defenses are continuing to repel the drone attack.

“At present, enemy UAVs have reached the northern industrial hub. Emergency services are working at the scene,” Khotsenko said.

Earlier, the governor reported a drone attack on the Omsk region and said that all emergency services had been placed on high alert.

Khotsenko urged local residents to remain calm and report any suspicious activity to emergency services.

Social media users pointed out that Omsk is 2,500 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

“A large fire broke out near a chemical plant following the drone attack. The Omsky Kauchuk plant produces synthetic rubber and petrochemical products,” local observers reported.
