Russia’s Foreign Ministry said it intends to carry out “systematic strikes” against Ukrainian defense industry facilities in Kyiv and “decision-making centers.” The Russian ministry also urged foreign nationals to leave the Ukrainian capital.
The Russian Foreign Ministry published the statement on May 25.
According to the statement, the Russian military is “beginning the consistent execution of systematic strikes” on Ukraine’s defense-industrial complex facilities in Kyiv.
The statement also referred to strikes on “specific locations involved in the design, production, programming, and preparation for the use of UAVs,” as well as on “decision-making centers and command posts.”
The Russian side claims the strikes are a response to attacks on Russian territory.
“Strikes will also be carried out against decision-making centers and command posts,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
Separately, the ministry called on foreign citizens, diplomatic missions, and international organizations to “leave Kyiv as soon as possible.”
“Residents of the Ukrainian capital should avoid approaching military and administrative infrastructure facilities of the Zelenskyy regime,” the Russian Foreign Ministry statement said.
