Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia is moving air defense systems from the regions to Moscow and the Kerch Bridge. The Russian leadership ordered these two perimeters to be protected at the expense of weakening other directions.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this after a report by the head of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence, Oleh Ivashchenko, on the implementation of Ukraine’s plan of long-range sanctions against Russia and the steps needed to bring peace closer.
Among the recent successful strikes on Russian territory, Zelenskyy noted the destruction of more than 60,000 tons of ammunition at an arsenal of the Baltic Fleet near St. Petersburg.
According to the president, the analysis by military intelligence confirmed that the necessary targets from the list of Russian military production facilities had been reached. Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck Russian enterprises that produce radio electronics and other critical components for the needs of the Russian army.
Ukrainian intelligence obtained internal Russian documents with a real assessment of the consequences of Ukraine’s long-range sanctions. Measures taken by the Russian leadership in response to the situation were also recorded.
“One of these measures is the transfer of air defense systems from Russian regions to Moscow and to the Kerch Bridge. In fact, these are the two perimeters that the Russians were ordered to protect at the expense of weakening other directions on their territory and in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. We will draw conclusions,” Zelenskyy said.
There was also a separate report on the state of Russian missile production and strategic military aviation. The president said Ukraine is preparing new fair steps in response to Russia’s prolonging of the war and strikes on Ukrainian territory.
