The Polish consulate building in Odesa was damaged during a Russian overnight attack on the city. No staff members of the diplomatic mission were injured.
The incident was reported by a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Maciej Wewiór, who described the strike as another act of Russian terror and expressed respect for Polish Foreign Ministry staff continuing to work in Ukraine.
According to the Odesa Regional Military Administration, the city came under an intense attack by enemy drones overnight on January 13. Six people were injured as a result.
The strike also caused damage to energy facilities, apartment buildings and social infrastructure. A hospital, kindergarten, amusement park, lyceum, fitness center and private vehicles were among the affected sites.
