Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukrainian intelligence had received updated information about Russia preparing a massive strike. Against the backdrop of the threat, the military leadership reported on strengthening air defence and protecting key facilities.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this following a conference call with government officials, military commanders and the heads of key services.
“Today we received updated intelligence on the Russians’ preparations for a massive strike. We are preparing countermeasures. Deadlines have been set for a significant part of the tasks, and the priority ones are already being implemented,” the president said.
During the meeting, the defence minister and the Air Force commander also reported on the distribution of air defence assets and the organisation of defensive lines to protect designated key facilities.
According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine is securing the necessary munitions for F-16 fighter jets, interception systems and anti-missile weapons.
“The most difficult situation is with anti-ballistic capabilities, and the availability of these supplies depends entirely on our partners. We are working with them on a daily basis,” the president said.
Government officials, together with representatives of regional authorities, have also prepared additional logistical solutions in response to Russia’s operation against Ukrainian logistics.
