The death toll from the Russian airstrike on Komyshuvakha in Zaporizhzhia district on November 2 has risen to 37. Search operations are continuing at the site, involving canine teams and a unit of the State Mine Rescue Squad of Ukraine’s State Emergency Service.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported the updated death toll.

As previously reported by Mykhailo Semikin, acting head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Russian forces attacked the settlement while local residents were inside an underground community resilience center receiving humanitarian aid.

On November 2, Russian forces carried out at least nine strikes on Komyshuvakha, initially using FAB-500 guided aerial bombs and later FAB-3000 bombs.

A direct hit caused the concrete structure of the underground resilience center to collapse. Civilians who had come to receive humanitarian assistance were inside at the time of the attack.

November 3, 4 and 5 have been declared days of mourning in Zaporizhzhia region for those killed in the Russian strike.
