The 1099th day of the Russian Federation’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. Over the past day, 98 combat engagements were recorded.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
From February 25 to February 26, the enemy launched 92 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements and dropped 128 unmanned aerial vehicles. In addition, it carried out 5672 attacks, including 108 from multiple launch rocket systems, and also used 3439 kamikaze drones to destroy them.
The aggressor carried out air strikes in the vicinity of populated areas:
Ukrainian troops repelled six enemy assaults near Vovchansk and Dvorichna in the Kharkiv sector.
In the Kupyansk sector, five attacks took place over the last day. Defense forces repelled enemy assaults near Petropavlivka and Zahryzove.
In the Liman sector, the enemy attacked nine times. He tried to break into the Ukrainian defense near Nadiya, Novolyubivka, Zelena Dolyna, Torske and Yampolivka.
In the Northern sector, the enemy conducted seven offensives in the areas of Bilohorivka, Ivan-Daryivka and Verkhnekamianske.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the occupants attacked once in the area of Chasovyi Yar.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out seven attacks in the areas of Toretsk and Krymske.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped 25 aggressor’s attacks in the areas of Promin, Tarasivka, Kotlyne, Pishchane, Nadiivka, Preobrazhenka and Andriivka.
Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 11 Russian attacks in the Novopavlivka sector. The occupants were most actively trying to advance in the areas of Kostiantynopil, Novoocheretuvate and Burlatske.
Five enemy attempts to advance in the areas of Mali Shcherbaky, Kamianske and in the direction of Novoandriivka were repelled by the Defense Forces in the Orikhivsk sector.
The enemy attacked Ukrainian positions in the Prydniprovskyi sector once without success.
The enemy did not conduct any offensive actions in the Huliaipil sector yesterday.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue operations in the Kursk region. Over the past day, the Russian invaders carried out 16 air strikes, dropped 26 unmanned aerial vehicles, and fired 469 artillery rounds. Ukrainian defenders repelled 16 assault attacks by the invaders.
No signs of enemy offensive groups were detected at the Volyn and Polissya directions.
