Ukraine’s Defense Forces will ensure a ceasefire during Easter on land, at sea, and in the air. At the same time, Ukrainian troops will act on the principle of a mirror response to any violations by Russia.
Ukraine’s Defense Forces will ensure compliance with the ceasefire during Easter following an order from President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The statement says the ceasefire will apply on land, at sea, and in the air, while Ukraine will follow a principle of reciprocal response.
The General Staff stressed that, given previous violations by Russia, Ukrainian forces must be ready to immediately respond to any provocations or offensive actions.
If enemy units advance, carry out engineering works, regroup forces, or show signs of preparing for assaults, Ukrainian troops have the right to open fire to destroy them.
The same rules will apply at sea and in the air.
Launches of Russian missiles or attack drones against Ukraine will also receive a mirror response, the General Staff said.
