During the night of October 5, the city of Lviv came under a massive missile attack. According to Mayor Andriy Sadovyi, several explosions were heard across the city, multiple sites caught fire, and parts of Lviv were left without electricity.
Around 5:30 a.m., Sadovyi reported missiles flying toward the city. Later, he confirmed that public transportation had been suspended due to the attacks and urged residents to stay indoors:
“Please remain in safety! Going outside right now is dangerous!” the mayor warned.
Following another report about a group of missiles heading toward Lviv, Sadovyi confirmed power outages in several districts:
“Part of Lviv is without electricity. We know about Riasne and Levandivka. We’re clarifying the details,” he said.
After the strikes, several fires broke out in the city. The mayor urged residents to close their windows and stay in safe places due to potential toxic fumes and smoke.
After 8:30 a.m., Sadovyi reported that the Sparrow Industrial Park was on fire. Preliminary information indicates no casualties. “It’s a civilian facility, with no military component,” he emphasized.
He added that all emergency and municipal services were working at the scene.
