On the night of 24 May (starting at 8:30 p.m. on 23 May), the enemy launched an attack on Ukraine using 14 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from various regions of the Russian Federation. Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Zaporizhzhia regions were attacked, according to the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the night, the enemy also attacked with 250 Shahed-type strike UAVs and various types of drone simulators.
The main target of the enemy attack was the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv!
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned aerial vehicles, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces.
As of 8:30 a.m., air defence forces shot down six Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles (Kyiv) and destroyed 245 Shahed-type UAVs (other types of drones) in the east, north, south and centre of the country. 128 were shot down by fire weapons, 117 were lost/suppressed by electronic warfare (without negative consequences).
Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Kharkiv, Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions were affected by the enemy attack.
