On the evening of August 20, Russian forces attacked Kyiv for the second time in 24 hours. One person was killed and two others were injured in the Holosiivskyi district. The total death toll from Russian attacks on the capital has risen to 16.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
In the Holosiivskyi district, the roof of an administrative office building caught fire after the strike. The fire broke out in separate areas covering 400 square meters. Rescuers extinguished the blaze at 19:03.
The body of one person was found at the scene. Two more people were injured.
At the same time, rescuers continue working in the capital’s Solomianskyi district. A nine-story residential building and nearby houses were damaged there as a result of the strike.
Overall, the number of people killed in Russian attacks on Kyiv has risen to 16.
Earlier, Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko also reported a strike on a critical infrastructure facility. As a result of the damage, residents of the Desnianskyi district and part of the Dniprovskyi district may experience disruptions to hot water supply.
