Kyiv is facing an extremely difficult electricity supply situation following damage to energy facilities. Emergency power cuts have caused disruptions to water supply and public electric transport in the capital.
This was reported by the Kyiv City State Administration.
According to the city authorities, recent attacks damaged facilities of the Kyiv regional energy hub, as well as electricity generation and transmission facilities in other regions of Ukraine.
Due to the difficult situation, Ukrenergo introduced emergency power cuts. Energy workers are working to restore electricity supply.
The emergency situation has also caused disruptions to water supply. Kyivvodokanal specialists are working to stabilize pressure in the system and restore water service.
In addition, problems with electricity have disrupted the operation of public electric transport.
Heating points are being deployed in Kyiv districts where the electricity situation is most severe. Residents will be able to charge phones and other devices there and have hot tea.
