Ireland has announced a new support package for Ukraine, including €100 million in non-lethal military aid and €25 million for strengthening the energy system. The announcement was made by Prime Minister Micheál Martin during a joint press conference with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin stated that Ireland will provide Ukraine with an additional €125 million in assistance. €100 million will be allocated for non-lethal military support and €25 million for Ukraine’s energy system. He stressed that Russia deliberately targets critical infrastructure and that Ireland is “doing its part to ensure Putin does not prevail.” Ireland’s total assistance to Ukraine has already exceeded €340 million.
