On the night of September 10, a fire broke out at one of the markets in Khmelnytskyi after debris from an aerial target fell during a Russian attack. A secondary detonation occurred while rescuers were working at the scene, injuring four employees of the State Emergency Service.
This was reported by Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration head Serhii Tiurin and the State Emergency Service in Khmelnytskyi region.
According to the regional administration, air defense forces shot down an aerial target over the regional center, after which debris fell on the territory of one of the markets and caused a fire.
A secondary detonation occurred while State Emergency Service personnel were deploying forces and equipment at the scene. Four rescuers were injured in the blast. The injured were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity.
The fire was extinguished. A total of 45 rescuers and eight units of fire and rescue equipment were involved.
