In June, the increase in territory occupied by Russian forces amounted to 84 sq. km.
This was reported by analysts of the OSINT project DeepState.
According to the project, if the territories liberated by Ukraine’s Defense Forces over the past month are taken into account, Russian forces may end up with a negative result for the second month in a row. At the same time, the analysts noted that the difference was small.
DeepState also pointed out that the number of assault actions by the Russian army increased again — this time by 4.4%.
The analysts link this to the quality of such attacks. According to them, very often a single Russian soldier is sent into an assault.
In the second half of June, Russian forces had successes near Kostiantynivka, the state border of Ukraine and Huliaipole. This allowed the enemy to somewhat improve its situation compared with May.
At the same time, DeepState expects that in July, information about Ukrainian military successes will begin to emerge on one of the directions.
The analysts noted that a “turning point” is now emerging in the war, and the further development of the situation will depend on the actions of the Ukrainian command.
“If in May we took two steps forward, then in June it was already one step forward and one step back,” DeepState said.
