Russian occupation forces have launched another combined attack on the Ukrainian energy sector. It began on December 12 at 14:00 and ended on December 13 at 10:30.
The attackers used missiles of various types and attack drones, the Ukrainian Air Force reports.
A total of 287 enemy air attack vehicles were detected by the radio engineering troops – 94 missiles and 193 UAVs.
Managed to shoot down:
- 80 out of 86 Kh-101/Kh-55SM/Kalibr/Iskander-K cruise missiles;
- 1 of 2 Iskander-M ballistic missiles;
- 80 out of 193 Shahed attack UAVs and unidentified drones. 105 enemy drones did not reach their targets (lost in the area), five returned to Russia, and one returned to Belarus.
The Russians also used against Ukraine:
- 4 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aerial ballistic missiles;
- 1 KN-23 ballistic missile,;
- 1 Kh-59/X-69 guided missile.
“The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, aviation, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine. In particular, F-16s were effectively used!” the military emphasized.
Once again, the enemy’s missile and drone strike was mainly aimed at Ukraine’s energy facilities.
