“Arab” butter supplied to the Russian Federation turned out to be Ukrainian

The United Arab Emirates has started exporting butter to Russia, RBC reported citing Rosselkhoznadzor.

Deliveries began on October 18, 2024. Since then, as of November 2, 90 tons of butter have been imported from the UAE to Russia.

Subsequently, videos of this “Arab” butter began to appear in the network and it turned out that it was Ukrainian. Social networks say that the butter of the brand “Farm” is supplied to Israel and Arab countries, and it is resold to Russia.

Butter in Russia has become one of the products that have risen in price the most since the beginning of 2024. On average, butter in retail, according to Rosstat, rose in price by 25.7% by October 28. Against this background, butter began to be stolen from Russian stores.
