Apple is preparing a major update to iOS 27 that could include more than ten new features. Among them are a revamped Siri with artificial intelligence capabilities and support for a future foldable iPhone.

Apple is expected to unveil iOS 27 in June 2026 at its WWDC conference, with the official release scheduled for September alongside new iPhone models.
According to reports, iOS 27 could bring major Apple Intelligence upgrades, new Siri capabilities, and interface changes designed for Apple’s upcoming foldable smartphone, which may be called the iPhone Fold.
The foldable iPhone is rumored to feature a 5.5-inch display when folded and a 7.8-inch display when opened. In the unfolded mode, the device will operate similarly to an iPad and support multitasking with two apps side by side.
One of the key updates will be a new version of Siri integrated with Apple Intelligence. The assistant is expected to better understand conversational context, analyze on-screen information, and perform more complex actions across apps.
Apple is also reportedly working on a chatbot version of Siri that would function similarly to ChatGPT or Gemini. It is expected to search the web for information, analyze files, and summarize data.
Other possible additions include image generation in Siri, a new Core AI framework for developers, and refinements to the Liquid Glass interface design first introduced in iOS 26.
Apple could also introduce new artificial intelligence features for apps such as Calendar and Health to provide recommendations and analyze user data.
In addition, the company is developing new satellite capabilities for the iPhone, including Apple Maps via satellite and the ability to send photos through Messages without cellular connectivity.
At the same time, Apple plans to focus on optimizing the operating system. According to Bloomberg, iOS 27 could become an update aimed at improving performance, stability, and energy efficiency.
