As of the end of 2024, almost 60 thousand citizens are listed in the Unified Register of Persons Missing in Special Circumstances.
This was announced by Dmytro Bohatyuk, head of the Department for Persons Missing in Special Circumstances of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.
According to Bohatyuk, since the launch of the register, more than 70 thousand missing persons have been registered in it. Some of these people were returned alive, while others, unfortunately, were identified among the dead. However, almost 60 thousand people are still missing.
In October, it was reported that the Register of Persons Missing under Special Circumstances contained more than 59 thousand entries. Among those recorded, more than 49 thousand people are wanted as missing persons under special circumstances. Among them, 1769 are children under the age of 18.
