According to Russian sources, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have launched an offensive in the Sujansky district of Kursk Region today. The main direction of the attack is from Suja towards the settlement of Bolshoye Soldatskoye – where it was least expected.

For the offensive, Ukrainian units are using mine clearance trawls, tanks and other armoured vehicles. In total, about 10 units of equipment are involved. The area of the attack is tightly covered by electronic warfare systems (REB), making it much more difficult for Russian drones to use them.

A battle is reportedly underway in the Bolshoi Soldatsky neighbourhood. Russian units have opened counter fire.

Some sources suggest that the AFU may attack in other parts of the Kursk region, but the main direction at the moment is Suja-Bolshoye Soldatskoye.

From the side of Sujansky district the AFU are moving infantry with armoured vehicles, accumulating in landings and going to attack Berdin.
In the dark time the enemy mined the approaches to the settlement and the roads.
The AFU used rockets, supporting offensive actions.

UPD 11:01 The ‘Centre for Combating Disinformation’ at the National Security and Defence Council has confirmed the Ukrainian troops’ offensive in the Kursk region.

‘There are big worries for the Russians in Kursk region because they were attacked in several directions and it came as a surprise to them. The defence forces are working hard,’ CCD head Andrei Kovalenko said.

The offensive of the AFU in Kursk region also confirms the head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak.

‘Kursk region, good news, Russia is getting what it deserves,’ Yermak wrote.
