The 1,294th day of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. From September 8 to 9, the Defense Forces repelled 195 Russian attacks. There were 64 battles in the Pokrovsk direction, 51 in the Novopavlivka direction, and the occupiers attacked 14 times in the Lyman direction.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the day, the enemy launched one missile and 74 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, used five missiles, and dropped 148 guided bombs. In addition, 5,516 kamikaze drones were used to strike 4,989 times at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and populated areas, 86 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems.
The aggressor carried out air strikes on populated areas:
- Primorske in the Zaporizhzhia region;
- Mykolaivka in the Kherson region.
North-Slobozhansk and Kursk directions
In the North Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, 11 combat clashes were recorded over the past day. The enemy carried out 12 air strikes, dropped a total of 25 guided bombs, and carried out 207 artillery attacks, including 18 with multiple launch rocket systems.
South-Slobozhansk, Kupyansk, Limansk, and Siversk directions
Five combat clashes took place in the South Slobozhansky direction in the areas of Vovchansk and Stroivka.
In the Kupiansk direction, nine attacks by the occupiers were recorded during the day. The defense forces repelled the enemy’s assault in the areas of Mirny, Kupiansk, Petropavlivka, and in the direction of Novoplatonivka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 14 times, trying to advance in the areas of the settlements of Kolodyazi, Novomykhailivka, Hluschenkove, Torske, as well as in the direction of Shandryholove.
In the Siverskyi direction, the enemy attacked the positions of the Defense Forces seven times in the areas of Hryhorivka, Serebryanka, Vyimka, and in the direction of Yampil.
Kramatorsk, Toretsk, and Pokrovsk directions
Over the past day, four combat clashes took place in the Kramatorsk direction in the areas of Minkivka, Stupochky, Bila Hora, and in the direction of Bondarnoe.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out nine attacks in the areas of Toretsk, Pleshcheyivka, Shcherbinivka, Katerynivka, and Poltavka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 64 attacks by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Rodynske, Myrolyubivka, Promin, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novopidhorodne, Dachne, Novoukrainka, Sukhyi Yar, Shakhov, Molodetsk, and in the direction of Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Novookonomichne, Novopavlivka.
Novopavlivka, Prydniprovsk, Orikhiv, and other directions
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Defense Forces repelled 51 enemy assaults in the areas of the settlements of Filia, Yalta, Piddubne, Tolstoy, Lisne, Oleksandrograd, Sichneve, Komyshuvakha, Novoivanivka, Zelenyi Hai, Maliivka, Novogeorgiivka, Zelenе Pole, Zaporizke, Obratne, Olhivske, and Poltavka.
The enemy did not conduct any offensive operations in the Huliaipole and Orikhiv directions.
In the Prydniprovsk direction, Ukrainian units repelled four attacks by the invaders towards the Antonivsky Bridge.
In the Volyn and Polissya directions, there were no signs of the enemy forming offensive groups.
