Ukraine has received signals from the U.S. regarding its willingness to resume talks on ending the war. The Ukrainian delegation has already departed for the meeting, which is scheduled for Saturday in the United States.

This was announced by Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an evening video address on March 19.

According to him, the pause in negotiations is ending, and the parties are preparing to resume dialogue.

“There are signals from the American side regarding their readiness to continue working within the existing negotiation formats to end Russia’s war against Ukraine. There was a pause in negotiations; it is time to end it,” the president noted.

Zelenskyy also reported that the Ukrainian negotiating team is already on its way, and a meeting in the United States is scheduled for Saturday.

“The Ukrainian team—specifically the political part of the negotiating group—is already on its way; we expect a meeting in the United States this Saturday,” he said.

The president added that he had discussed preparations for the negotiations the day before with Rustem Umerov, Kirill Budanov, and David Arakhamia, and also announced that Serhiy Kyslytsya would participate in the meetings.

“Our priority is to do everything possible to achieve a dignified peace,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
