Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Kyiv would try this autumn to bring pressure on Russia to a level at which it would have no alternative but peace. At the same time, he warned that Vladimir Putin expects to prolong the war and is preparing mobilization and new strikes.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this during a meeting of Ukrainian ambassadors in Kyiv.
According to the president, it is currently impossible to predict with 100% certainty when diplomatic efforts, Ukraine’s long-range sanctions, mid-strikes and partners’ sanctions will take effect.
“We will try very hard to make this happen in the autumn,” Zelenskyy said.
The president emphasized that Ukraine understands whom it is dealing with and sees Putin’s true intentions.
“He is preparing mobilization and new strikes in Russia. We see Russia’s true intentions, unite our partners and put pressure on the aggressor,” Zelenskyy noted.
