President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the world’s response to a new wave of Russian strikes on Ukraine has been insufficient. Today, Russian forces attacked a university in Kyiv, a residential building and infrastructure in Odesa, as well as a building used by rescuers and police in Kherson. People were wounded in the Russian attacks, including a child in Odesa.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote about this on social media.

In Kyiv, Russian Shahed drones struck one of the universities during classes. At the time, 160 students were in a shelter.

Overnight, Russian forces attacked Odesa. A residential building and city infrastructure were damaged, and five people were wounded, including a child.

In Kherson, Russian forces struck a building used by rescuers and police. In the Kharkiv region, thousands of people were left without electricity as a result of a strike, and there were wounded.

“There has been too little reaction from the world and the most influential leaders to this latest Russian escalation of strikes,” Zelenskyy said.

He stressed that Russian attacks on Ukraine cannot remain the problem of just one country and called on partners to take decisive action.

“Evil must be stopped when it reveals itself,” the president said.

Zelenskyy named stronger Ukrainian air defenses, sanctions against Russia and a significant increase in defense production among the necessary steps.
