Ukrainian forces struck two Russian oil tankers in the waters at the entrance to the port of Novorossiysk. According to the president, the vessels had been used to transport oil.
This was reported by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who said it was part of sanctions being applied against Russia’s shadow oil fleet. He noted that the tankers had been actively used for oil transportation.
The president thanked Chief of the General Staff Andrii Hnatov for leading the operation, as well as the counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Navy for the results.
Zelenskyy said Ukraine’s long-range capabilities will continue to be developed across sea, air, and land.
