Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has named the condition for a possible meeting with the Russian dictator. According to the Ukrainian leader, Putin’s words and actions must coincide.

This was reported by the publication Babel.

According to Zelenskyy, he is ready to meet with Putin, but it is important that the Russian president’s words and actions coincide. Currently, Putin is telling the US president about his readiness for peace, but continues to attack Ukraine.

“I told Trump that, on the one hand, he tells the US president that he wants to end the war and that this is his desire, but on the other hand, all his messages in the media are that he is ready and wants to continue the war. He is hitting us with missiles, openly talking about it, rejoicing in the destruction of civilian infrastructure, giving orders to his generals on where to go and what to capture,” Zelenskyy said.

Regarding future agreements, Ukraine first plans to hold a meeting at the level of state advisers. Next, a meeting is planned at the level of European leaders, the ‘Coalition of the Willing,’ followed by a meeting with European leaders and Trump in January. After that, there will be a meeting with the Russians.

‘The technical group working on the 20-point plan should be quadripartite: the document must be signed by Ukraine, Europe, America and Russia,’ Zelenskyy said.

They want to put the 20-point plan to a referendum, as it is important that it be supported by the Ukrainian people. Holding a referendum requires at least 60 days of complete ceasefire and adequate security infrastructure, which Russia currently does not agree to.

According to the Kremlin, a new telephone call between Putin and Trump will take place ‘in the near future.’ Russian dictator spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia agrees with Trump’s assessment that peace in Ukraine has become ‘much closer,’ but noted that the possibility of a conversation between Putin and Zelenskyy is not currently being discussed.
