Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the overnight drone attack against targets inside Russia and said that Moscow must end the war and stop attacking Ukraine.

According to the head of state, Ukrainian drones traveled about 1,000 kilometers overnight to the St. Petersburg region and struck Russian Navy arsenals and a base in Kronstadt. Ukrainian long-range strike capabilities also hit an oil depot in Russia’s Krasnodar region after covering a distance of about 500 kilometers.

“It is time to end this war. But the Russian leader wants to keep fighting. That is why Ukrainian sanctions against this aggression are working,” Zelenskyy said.

The president noted that the strikes were carried out through the joint efforts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), and Ukraine’s military intelligence agency (HUR).

“Russia must end its war and stop its attacks on life. Any manifestation of injustice against Ukraine will receive a just response,” he stressed.

Zelenskyy also thanked Ukrainian service members for their accuracy in carrying out combat missions.
