Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met in Washington with representatives of US defence company Lockheed Martin. The sides discussed joint production, technology sharing and expanded cooperation on Patriot systems and other weapons.

Zelenskyy thanked the company’s representatives for their support for Ukraine and the assistance provided. The talks focused on opportunities to deepen cooperation.
Joint production and technology sharing
One of the main topics was the joint production of defence equipment and the exchange of technologies.
The president stressed that Ukraine also has experience and technological expertise it can share with partners helping to protect Ukrainian lives.
According to the President’s Office, the teams are already working on specific solutions that should make it possible to move to joint production as quickly as possible.
Patriot and other systems discussed
The sides also discussed joint opportunities related to Patriot air-defence systems and other types of weapons.
The stated aim of the cooperation is to strengthen Ukraine’s defence capabilities and improve the protection of civilians.
Lockheed Martin is one of the largest US defence companies. Its products include ATACMS tactical ballistic missiles, HIMARS rocket systems, F-16 fighter jets and missiles for Patriot systems.
