Zelenskyy dismisses Kostin from the post of prosecutor-general

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a decree dismissing Andriy Kostin from the post of prosecutor-general.

The document is published on the website of the head of state.

“To dismiss Kostin Andrey Evgenyevich from the post of Prosecutor General”, – stated in the decree № 745/2024.


On October 22, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin resigned. This happened against the background of investigations in connection with the dissemination of information that 50 prosecutors of Khmelnytskyy region illegally received disability status.

On October 28, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a draft resolution No. 12153 on granting consent to the dismissal of Andriy Kostin from the post of prosecutor-general.
