Zelenskiy calls on partners to increase assistance to Ukraine to protect it from Russian air attacks

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy has expressed gratitude to Ukraine’s defenders of the sky for their bravery and effectiveness in fighting Russian strikes. In a Facebook post, he said that the enemy had launched more than 130 attack drones that night, of which about 60 were destroyed and more than 70 were lost in the area.

Zelenskiy thanked the anti-aircraft missile troops, aviation, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups for their work and noted that despite the effective countermeasures, not all threats were neutralised.

The President stressed that Ukraine needs more air defence systems, including Petriots, missiles for them, as well as stronger sanctions against Russia. He called on the international community to help Ukraine in the fight for the security of its people and infrastructure.
