President Volodymyr Zelensky said that personnel decisions are being prepared within the Armed Forces and that key sectors of the front, particularly in Donetsk Oblast, will be reinforced. Ukraine has also adjusted some long-range operations against Russia and approved new ones.
Zelensky announced this following a discussion of military issues.
According to him, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi, in coordination with Ihor Skybiuk and Yevhen Khmara, presented their vision for changes. Some decisions have already been prepared, with more expected to follow.
The situation on the front and measures to strengthen key sectors, particularly in Donetsk Oblast, were discussed separately. Zelensky highlighted units operating in the areas of Sloviansk, Kostiantynivka and Dobropillia, as well as units of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces.
According to the president, they agreed on steps that could provide Ukrainian troops with greater operational capabilities.
They also discussed in detail the implementation of Ukraine’s plan for long-range sanctions against Russia and its mid-range strikes.
“Some operations were adjusted, and new operations were also approved. Ukrainian precision is what allows us not to surrender the initiative in the war to the Russians and to count on the possibility of bringing diplomatic solutions closer,” Zelensky said.
Considerable attention was also devoted to air defense and the protection of frontline and border cities, regional centers and Kyiv.
The president stressed that air defense for Ukraine must remain a top priority for every country and leader capable of providing assistance.
