President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy thanked Japan for its decisive actions in support of Ukraine. This refers to the new sanctions that Japan imposed on Russia on January 10. Zelenskiy called it a strong blow to the Russian military-industrial complex.

Volodymyr Zelenskiy wrote about this on the social network X.

The Ukrainian president welcomed Japan’s decision to impose new sanctions against Russia, including freezing the assets of 33 legal entities and 12 individuals, an export ban for 53 legal entities, and restrictions on 335 types of goods.

“This is a significant blow to the Russian military-industrial complex, which restricts access to critical microelectronics and creates additional obstacles to the production of missiles and drones,” Zelenskiy wrote.

The Ukrainian leader noted that such measures help strengthen Ukraine’s defense against aggression and protect the lives of Ukrainians.

“We are deeply grateful to Japan for its decisive actions in support of Ukraine,” Zelenskiy concluded.
